Portable Toilet/Rental Technician – Big Oil Rentals
Big Oil Rentals, a privately-owned and rapidly growing oilfield rental company, is looking for a motivated and reliable Portable Toilet/Rental Technician to join our team in Grande Prairie. Key Responsibilities
- Portable Restroom Service: Operate one ton truck with septic vac trailer to clean, restock and wash portable restrooms on customer locations (training provided).
- Wastewater Containment Service: Perform septic vac services on wastewater holding tanks on customer locations.
- Travel & Field Service: Operate one ton truck to travel to various locations to deliver, service or repair rental equipment.
- Hauling Trailers: MUST have knowledge and experience with hauling trailers.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assemble, test, grease, paint, disassemble, and repair oilfield rental equipment.
- Set-Up/Tear-Down: Perform setup and teardown of wellsite trailers, office trailers, wastewater systems, combo trailers, and light towers.
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-route and post-route inspections daily to ensure safe operation.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, promptly resolving service concerns.
- All-Weather Operations: Perform duties in various weather conditions, from extreme heat to cold or wet environments, with adherence to safety protocols.
- Dispatch Calls: Respond to service requests promptly and professionally.
- Extended Hours: Be available for weekend or holiday work as necessary
Required Qualifications
- Clean Driving Record: Proven ability to operate vehicles safely.
- Drug Screen/Physical Test: Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and physical fitness evaluation.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to meet the job's physical demands with or without accommodations.
- Safety Compliance: Familiarity with completing safety paperwork and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Desired Qualifications
- 2-5 years of industry-related experience preferred.
- Certifications: H2S, First Aid, Fall Protection, and CSO training (or willingness to obtain).
- Resides in Grande Prairie area
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication (written and verbal).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated with strong troubleshooting and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with oil patch roads, two-way radio protocol, and basic hand/power tools.
- Experience with hauling and backing up trailers.
- Basic plumbing knowledge is an asset.
Work Environment
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy items or request assistance when needed.
- Extended Hours: Be prepared to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as necessary.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $28.00-$35.00 per hour (based on experience).
- Additional Pay: Overtime pay.
