As a Quality Control Specialist, you will play a key role in driving data-informed quality decisions across our programs, serving as a central point of contact for AOPS and RCD quality data, metrics, and improvement initiatives while also supporting Ship Repair quality metrics as needed.
In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of recurring executive-level quality metrics across all sites, leveraging strong data analytics and analysis capabilities to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. You will lead and support root cause investigations, translate findings into actionable solutions, and capture lessons learned to promote continuous improvement and consistent quality performance across the organization.
- Community College Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 to 5 years of quality experience in a similar role.
- Shipbuilding knowledge and experience considered an asset.
- Solve problems and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills required, and relationship management skills required.
- Experience in Microsoft Suite required.
Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
