Kinghaven Treatment Centre was established in 1971 as MSA Halfway House. Over the past 50 years it has evolved into one of the country’s premier intensive residential treatment centers having served in excess of 28,000 adult men who present with problematic use of mood-altering substances. Located in the tranquil Fraser Valley of British Columbia, our campus also includes the George Schmidt Centre, a 31 unit second-stage housing facility and Bob Sutton Centre, a 60 unit second-stage housing facility.
Position: Licensed Practical Nurse
Status: Permanent, Full-Time
Reports to: Manager of Medical Services
Work Hours:
Kinghaven Treatment Centre -Sunday - Saturday 7:00am - 6:00pm (4 days on and 4 days off)
Job Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse is part of the integrated service team and works directly with clients, staff, external medical agencies, and health care professionals to provide exceptional care to the clients we serve.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain therapeutic nurse-client relationships
- Adhere to LPN scope of practice and CLPNBC requirements
- Schedule appointments, complete health history forms, and support GP/psychiatrist appointments
- Review and prepare medications and maintain Medication Administration Records (MARs)
- Communicate with clinics, pharmacists, and medical/clinical teams
- Maintain medical files, records, and inventories of supplies
- Process medication payments and arrange transportation for clients
- Prepare and sanitize medical/examination areas
- Provide Naloxone training to clients and staff
- Support administrative duties including scanning, filing, and data entry
- Transport clients to appointments
- Perform related duties as assigned

- Knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and confidentiality practices
- Ability to establish rapport and manage difficult behaviours effectively
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Grade 12 completion
- Diploma in Nursing with current CLPNBC registration
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Satisfactory TB Screening
- Valid BC Driver’s License
- 2 years of recent related experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Pay: $32.84-$41.35 per hour
