Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Garage Door Technician to join our team. experience would be preferred however we would be willing to train the right individual. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining residential/commercial, garage/shop doors and openers, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of construction-related skills, technical troubleshooting, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments. Prior experience with hand tools.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial garage doors and openers
- Diagnose issues with existing garage systems and perform necessary repairs
- Use hand tools, power tools, and schematics to complete installations and repairs accurately
- Perform caulking, sealing, and weatherproofing to ensure durability and energy efficiency
- Assist with welding tasks related to garage door systems when required
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding service needs and maintenance tips
Qualifications
- Proven experience with hand tools, construction.
- Strong knowledge of garage door mechanisms and openers is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license is required for travel between job sites
- Prior experience in construction or related trades such as welding or mechanics is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific tasks as needed
- farm/ranch experience would also be an asset as i also farm
