We're hiring a taproom server! We're seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and friendly tap room server to join our team. In this position, you will play a key role in providing our guests with an outstanding experience by providing exceptional customer service and helping everyone find a beer or beverage they love, while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. We mainly focus on serving beer but offer a variety of other options like wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks.
This position will range from 14 - 25 hours per week. We are looking for someone who is available for the shift times listed below. Shift times will mostly fall between the below hours, we also host private events which occasionally fall outside of tap room hours. This position will start ASAP.
- Wednesday & Thursday: 3:30PM - 10:30PM
- Friday: 3:00PM - 11:30PM
- Saturday: 11:30AM - 11:30PM
- Sunday: 1:30PM - 6:30PM
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Serve a variety of craft beer, cider, and seltzer on tap, as well as wine, a small variety of cocktails, and non-alcoholic options.
- Engage with guests to share knowledge about our beers and make recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tap room, including clearing and wiping tables, cleaning glassware, and restocking our off-sale fridge.
- Handle card payments and process orders accurately.
- Opening and closing duties depending on shift time
- Ensure safe consumption of alcohol by all patrons, adhering to Smart Choices guidelines.
- Occasional shifts outside of designated tap room hours including private events in the tap room and external beer events and festivals.
Qualifications and experience:
- Previous experience in beer, hospitality, or customer service is an asset but not required.
- Knowledge or interest in craft beer with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining great customer service and tap room cleanliness
- Must be available between the indicated shift times for 3-4 shifts per week
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem solve efficiently with a strong work ethic
- Currently have Smart Choices Certification before job start date
- Ability to lift or maneuver 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods of time
