RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, and service
- Electrical disassembly, assembly, wiring, testing, and commissioning
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Onsite electrical service, startup support, and troubleshooting
- Mechanical disassembly, assembly, and service support as required
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
- On-call availability for emergency technical support calls
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong electrical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostic experience
- Experience with industrial controls, automation systems, motors, or marine electrical equipment is an asset
- Mechanical knowledge and hands-on mechanical experience are beneficial
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
- A self-starter with a sense of urgency to complete tasks and assignments
- Ability to take direction and follow practices and procedures
- Good time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, electrical testing equipment, and diagnostic tools
- Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner
- Managerial skills are beneficial
Candidate must have a valid Class 5 provincial driver’s licence.
