About the Role
Bright Star Security is seeking professional, observant, and reliable Undercover Loss Prevention Officers to join our team at Loblaws retail locations. In this role, you will work discreetly to help reduce theft, protect company assets, and promote a safe shopping environment while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.
Responsibilities
- Conduct undercover surveillance to identify theft and suspicious activity.
- Monitor customers and employees while remaining discreet.
- Detect, document, and report incidents of shoplifting and policy violations.
- Work closely with store management and law enforcement when required.
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports.
- Follow company policies, legal requirements, and loss prevention procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in loss prevention, security, or a related field is an asset.
- Valid provincial security guard licence (required).
- Strong observation and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
