Position Summary
The Fuel & Lube Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance services, including fueling, lubrication, fluid checks, oil changes, and equipment inspections on commercial trucks and heavy equipment. This position plays a key role in ensuring our fleet remains safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance.
Responsibilities
- Fuel commercial trucks and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform oil and filter changes, lubrication, and preventative maintenance services.
- Check and top up engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid, and DEF levels.
- Grease trucks and equipment according to manufacturer and company maintenance schedules.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify potential mechanical issues.
- Report maintenance concerns and repair requirements to the maintenance team.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs.
- Keep the work area, service truck, and equipment clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with general shop and yard duties as required.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience as a Fuel & Lube Technician or in a similar heavy-duty maintenance role.
- Experience working with commercial trucks and heavy equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and fluid management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (Class 3 is an asset).
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
