Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD/Field Operations Specialist to work with our team on a part time basis which may lead to full time.. This role involves a combination of technical drafting, on site measurements and translation to 3D model,, and on-site field support for construction and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD software, drafting, and construction processes, with the ability to work both in the office and in the field. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects while developing professional expertise in design and field operations.
Duties
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D models using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or NavisWorks.
- Create accurate construction drawings, schematics, and technical documentation for various projects.
- Assist in drafting and designing layouts for civil, structural, and mechanical components.
- Support field operations by providing technical guidance during project implementation.
- Conduct site visits to gather field data and ensure designs are accurately implemented on-site.
- Collaborate with engineers and construction teams to ensure project specifications are met.
- Utilize animation tools for visual presentations or project simulations as needed.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, schematics, and project documentation.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at lease one CAD software including AutoCAD, Fusion, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, or SolidWorks.
- Strong drafting skills with experience in mechanical and technical drawings.
- Some Knowledge of construction processes and field operations.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics accurately in both imperial and metric systems.
- Experience with 2D/3D animation for project visualization is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate between office-based design work and on-site field activities.
- Prior experience in civil or structural engineering projects is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- A background or interest in construction-related CAD applications is highly desirable.
Remuneration $35-$55 per hour..
