We are currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Production Coordinator to support daily production floor operations, coordinate workflow, materials, and scheduling activities, and help ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and on time.
Position Overview
The Production Coordinator plays a key role in supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations by coordinating production schedules, material availability, workforce assignments, and communication between departments.
This role requires a strong presence on the production floor, excellent organizational and communication skills, and experience in a custom manufacturing environment. Experience in fiberglass, composites, or FRP manufacturing is considered a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily production floor activities within the manufacturing department
- Support production planning, scheduling, and workflow coordination to meet delivery timelines
- Assign and coordinate daily tasks with production staff and lead hands
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, overtime, and daily time reporting
- Coordinate material availability and support inventory control for production requirements
- Track production progress and proactively communicate schedule risks, delays, or material shortages
- Maintain accurate production records, daily updates, and schedule reporting
- Support enforcement of workplace health and safety standards and company procedures
- Coordinate with Engineering, QA, Purchasing, and Management to support production requirements
- Assist in troubleshooting shop-floor production issues and workflow bottlenecks
- Help identify opportunities for process improvements and increased operational efficiency
- Support training, mentoring, and workflow guidance for shop employees as required
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput, productivity, and quality
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in manufacturing coordination, lead-hand, or supervisory support roles
- Experience working in a custom manufacturing environment
- Strong experience supporting production planning, scheduling, and workflow coordination
- Experience with material coordination, inventory tracking, and shop-floor resource planning
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, production documents, work orders, and specifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and team coordination skills
- Good understanding of health and safety practices in an industrial / manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability on the shop floor
- Proficiency in computer systems, Microsoft Office applications, and production reporting tools
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities to meet production deadlines
Preferred Assets
- Hands-on experience in fiberglass, composite, or FRP manufacturing
- Experience in custom FRP tank fabrication or similar composite manufacturing
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Previous experience in a fabrication or industrial production environment
Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
