Kindersley Transport Ltd. is seeking a professional and safety-conscious Distribution Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely pickup, transportation, and delivery of freight while ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and company standards. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to transport freight.
- Pick up and deliver shipments according to assigned schedules and routes.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Secure cargo properly and ensure safe handling of freight.
- Complete delivery documentation, logs, and electronic records accurately.
- Maintain compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, or delays promptly.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during pickups and deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1/AZ commercial driver's license or equivalent.
- Clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices.
- Previous truck driving or freight transportation experience preferred.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and cargo securement procedures.
- Ability to lift, load, and unload freight when required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
