Sandbanks River Country Campground is a premier summer destination located right on the water, just minutes from the famous Sandbanks Provincial Park. Our bustling campground canteen keeps campers, beachgoers, and families fueled up with classic summer comfort food, think burgers, fries, ice cream, and quick bites!

The Role: What You’ll Do
As a Canteen Line Cook, you’ll be the heart of our kitchen, whipping up high-quality comfort food for hungry campers looking for a great meal after a long day in the sun.
- Short-Order Cooking: Efficiently operate the grill, fryers, and prep stations to dish out classic campground favorites during peak lunch, and dinner rushes.
- Prep & Stock: Keep ingredients prepped, portioned, and organized so we never run out of the essentials during a busy weekend.
- Keep It Sparkling: Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with local health regulations.
- Campground Team Player: Occasionally assist with taking orders at the counter or stocking retail items when the canteen gets busy.
What We’re Looking For
We need energetic, reliable individuals who can keep their cool when the lunch rush heats up.
- Experience: At least 1 year of kitchen experience (short-order, fast food, or line cook experience is preferred).
- Summer Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, work efficiently in a hot kitchen, and lift up to [40 lbs] (boxes of fries, burgers, etc.).
- Reliability & Transport: Since we are located in the heart of Prince Edward County, you must have reliable transportation to get to the campground for your shifts.
- Positive Vibe: You’ll be interacting with families and vacationers—a friendly, helpful attitude is a must!
- Certification: Valid Ontario Food Handler Certification is highly preferred.
