A successful Service Manager leads the Dealership service department, balancing profitability with customer satisfaction. You would be responsible for managing the team of service advisors and technicians, overseeing daily repair operations, controlling departmental budgets, and ensuring compliance with manufacturer warranty guidelines and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Financial Management: Forecast monthly and annual sales, gross profits, and operating expenses. Review financial statements and manage department budgets to maximize profitability.
Hire, train, and mentor service advisors, shop foremen, and technicians. Manage payroll, conduct performance evaluations, and schedule daily work.
Establish customer-focused policies to build trust and encourage repeat business. Proactively resolve complex customer complaints to improve the overall Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI).
Monitor the flow of repair orders to ensure maximum productivity and timely vehicle delivery. Spot-check completed jobs to minimize "comebacks" and maintain high-quality service.
Manage and coordinate warranty claims, ensuring strict adherence to manufacturer policies and procedures. Maintain a safe and secure facility.
Work closely with the Parts Department to guarantee part availability and streamline vehicle repairs.
Requirements:
3 to 5 years of experience in automotive retail, as a Service Advisor, Shop Foreman, or Assistant Service Manager. Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, repair processes, and warranty structures. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage a team, drive sales, and navigate challenging customer interactions. Knowledge of CDK or Reynolds and Reynolds. Valid Ontario driver's license
Pay: $80,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
