Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Concrete Finisher/Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist with various concrete-related tasks, including formwork, finishing, and installation, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. This role offers opportunities to develop skills in heavy equipment operation, masonry, and blueprint reading within a dynamic construction environment.
Duties
- Assist with concrete forming, pouring, and finishing to create durable structures
- Install rebar and other reinforcement materials according to schematics and blueprints
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Perform masonry work including restoration and renovation projects as needed
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for accurate project execution
- Engage in heavy lifting and manual labor to move materials and equipment around the site
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or concrete work is required
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating equipment and troubleshooting issues
- Skills in rebar installation, carpentry, masonry, and flooring installation are a plus
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately is beneficial
- Experience with restoration or renovation projects enhances suitability for this role
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and concrete finishing techniques
