Grade Control Hardscapes Ltd. is a hardscape contracting company based in Halton Hills, Ontario, specializing in municipal, conservation, commercial, and residential projects.
Founded in 1995 as Grade Control Ltd., our company has evolved into Grade Control Hardscapes Ltd. which was bought by Marc and Breanna Wilson in 2024. This is a family business.
For decades, Grade Control Ltd. has proudly served the Halton and Peel regions, delivering exceptional craftsmanship and innovative outdoor solutions. We are committed to continuing and enhancing this legacy with every project we undertake.
Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking General Labourer to join our growing team. We are a full-service construction company completing a wide variety of projects, including concrete, interlock, grading, excavation, trail construction, residential and commercial projects, park builds, skate parks, carpentry, and more. Most of our projects are located in Georgetown and the surrounding area, allowing you to work close to home while gaining experience on diverse and rewarding projects. No two days are the same, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and learning new skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment.
- Perform general site cleanup and debris removal to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Support skilled tradespeople with construction tasks as directed.
- Assist with concrete, interlock, grading, excavation, trail construction, carpentry, and general labour duties.
- Operate hand tools and light equipment safely under supervision.
- Help prepare job sites, including setting up work areas and safety barriers.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other manual labour and construction tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Construction or general labour experience is an asset but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
