Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling payments, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. Strong communication, time management, and multitasking skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive guest service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform cashiering duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks when needed to support team operations
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with sanitation standards
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables promptly during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to ensure a positive experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industries is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations for transactions
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Basic food handling knowledge and understanding of the food industry standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
