Job Duties

Prepare and facilitate the delivery of Intro to Grants and Proposals courses.

Use knowledge, experience, and skills of writing and applying for grants and proposals to facilitate and guide student skill practice.

Evaluate student performance.

Revise and update curriculum as needed/required.

Manage the learning environment and provide advice to students.

Establish and maintain relationships with Sask Polytech staff and students.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Description

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a focus in English, Business, Community Development or in a related area of study. Other communication degrees or a degree in Recreation or Tourism considered if work experience is relevant.

Experience in a business/education environment in writing and applying for grants and proposals.

Comprehensive knowledge of business writing principles and processes including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, drafting, revising and editing, and common business communication formats such as letters, emails, reports, policies, and memos.

Recent and relevant experience in drafting proposals, researching, writing, and applying for grants and proposals. Recent relevant business/industry teaching experience an asset.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Effective research, writing, multitasking, and budgeting experience and skills

Effective instructional ability.

Ability to function as a team member in an ever‐changing environment.

Experience working with D2L Brightspace considered an asset.

Demonstrates valuing diversity.
