Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Full Time Gluten Free Baker to join our bakery team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in baking and food preparation, especially those experienced in the gluten-free food industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality gluten-free baked goods, ensuring food safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing specialty bakery committed to providing delicious, allergen-friendly products.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of gluten-free baked goods, including bread, cookies, cakes and pastries
- Basic decorating of cakes and desserts with creative designs and professional finishing techniques
- Ensure all baked items meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Package baked goods for retail sale or wholesale distribution with attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment cleaning and organization
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and answering product questions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in baking, preferably within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Strong skills in food preparation, and general kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or wholesale distribution
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork and customer service
- Prior experience in gluten-free baking is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Flexibility to work full-time hours, including weekends Saturdays.
