- Primary Location: Eriksdale, MB
- Secondary Location: Winnipeg, MB (travel required)
- Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Hours: 30–40 hours per week
- Wage: From $20.00 per hour
- Overtime: Paid at $30.00 per hour (1.5x) after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week, in strict compliance with Manitoba Employment Standards
- Start Date: September 2026
- Accommodation: Private room and board provided within the family home at no cost to the employee.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for two children (ages 5 and 12).
- Plan and support age-appropriate activities, outings, and educational games.
- Assist with school homework, daily routines, and personal care.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children in care & household.
- Perform general housekeeping duties related to the care of the children (cleaning, laundry, kitchen upkeep).
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the children.
- Accompany children to school, appointments, or activities as required.
Work Conditions & Physical Capabilities
- Based in a private household in Eriksdale, MB, with regular travel to Winnipeg, MB.
- Transportation between work locations is fully provided by the employer.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required (subject to mandatory provincial overtime rates and a minimum 3-hour reporting pay structure).
- Clear boundaries maintained between scheduled working hours and personal time.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate completion
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant childcare or household management experience
- Skills: Ability to cook nutritious meals and perform core household duties efficiently
- Credentials: Valid Class 5 driver’s license is required
- Certifications: First Aid Certificate and CPR training are strong assets
- Attributes: Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently without direct supervision
