Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our construction management team. The ideal candidate will support project execution by overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining safety protocols. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to successful project completion. The Assistant Superintendent will play a vital role in coordinating activities, supervising staff, and ensuring projects adhere to schedules and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent in managing construction project, focusing on the finishing side.
- Supervise on-site personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to plans
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control standards
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to verify specifications and scope of work
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6 for scheduling, documentation, and reporting
- Assist in budgeting, cost tracking, and change order management
- Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and clients as needed for project alignment
- Support the development of construction estimates and review of project schedules
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in construction projects or related fields
- Has completed one building start to finish
- Has gone through one occupancy.
- Strong knowledge of construction management software including Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and other relevant tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction estimating documents
- Experience with quality control procedures and safety protocols on job sites
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Construction experience in commercial or residential projects preferred
- Knowledge of budgeting processes and cost control measures
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with teams and stakeholders
- Construction estimating skills are a plus
This position requires a proactive approach with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership abilities and technical expertise necessary for successful project delivery.
Pay: $95,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
