Bufala River District is looking for a skilled and guest-focused Bartender to join our front-of-house team.
Our bar is an important part of the restaurant. It supports a busy dining room while also serving guests who choose the bar for dinner, drinks, happy hour, celebrations, or a casual visit with friends. We are looking for someone who can balance speed, consistency, sales, organization, and genuine hospitality.
The right bartender is not someone who disappears behind the well and only makes drinks. You are present with guests, aware of the room, connected to the service team, and proud of every product that leaves the bar.
You should be comfortable handling volume, maintaining quality under pressure, managing bar guests, and supporting servers without losing control of your station.
What the Role Looks Like
- Welcoming and serving bar guests with confidence and personality
- Preparing cocktails, wine, beer, coffee, and non-alcoholic beverages consistently
- Managing service-well volume while maintaining quality and presentation
- Building relationships with regulars and creating an inviting bar experience
- Making thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences
- Promoting cocktails, wine, features, and premium options naturally
- Maintaining a clean, stocked, and organized bar throughout service
- Communicating clearly with servers, managers, hosts, and the kitchen
- Preparing the bar properly before service and restocking before items run out
- Following recipes, portioning, inventory, and responsible-service standards
- Supporting the floor when needed and contributing to the overall guest experience
- Completing opening, closing, cleaning, batching, and preparation duties properly
- Identifying guest concerns early and responding professionally
What We Are Looking For
- Previous bartending experience in a busy restaurant or high-volume bar
- Strong cocktail, wine, beer, and food knowledge
- Confidence serving both bar guests and a busy service well
- Speed without sacrificing quality or accuracy
- Strong organization and cleanliness
- Natural sales ability and genuine interest in hospitality
- Good awareness of responsible alcohol service
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong communication
- Weekend, brunch, evening, and holiday availability
- A valid Serving It Right certificate
- Openness to coaching, training, and continued growth
We want a bartender who takes ownership of the bar, contributes ideas, cares about beverage sales, and understands that the bar helps set the energy for the entire restaurant.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage plus gratuities
- Strong earning potential
- Staff meals and dining discounts
- Beverage education and product training
- Opportunities to grow within Bufala and Gooseneck Hospitality
