Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Wash Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining wash plant equipment to ensure efficient processing of materials. This role requires mechanical aptitude, familiarity with heavy machinery, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards. The Wash Plant Operator plays a vital part in supporting our manufacturing and construction operations, contributing to the smooth flow of production processes.
Duties
- Operate wash plant machinery and related equipment to process materials according to operational guidelines
- Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency
- Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, and maintenance of wash plant components
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using hand tools, power tools, or machining techniques
- Assist with assembly, disassembly, and repair of plant equipment including welding tasks when necessary
- Follow safety protocols and ensure all operations comply with safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of production activities and equipment maintenance
Requirements
- Experience operating an aggregate wash plant, crushing plant, or similar industrial equipment is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge with skills in welding, assembly, and use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively
- Prior experience in construction or manufacturing industries highly desirable
