Little Piggy Catering is hiring a Catering Operations Coordinator. The catering operation coordinator reports to the catering manager and works collaboratively with the other operations teams members. This is predominantly an office/backend position (90%) with seasonal offsite work (10%). This position will be available in August 2026
Duties:
- Office administration
- Event coordination
- Equipment and inventory management
- Team leadership and training
- Event sales and planning
- Contributing to marketing activities
- Basic bookkeeping and record keeping.
- Assisting with catering deliveries and set ups.
Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in catering operations, restaurant/hotel management, event coordination, or a similar role.
- One year of leadership experience (e.g., managing servers, training staff, or running an event floor onsite).
- Educational background in hospitality or culinary management, business administration, or marketing is a plus.
- FoodSafe or SIR is an asset.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace
- Experience with Sage and/or Freshbooks is an asset.
- Comfort writing professional business correspondence and related materials
- Soft skills: detail-orientation, multi-tasking, problem solving, client-facing professionalism, communications, etc.
- Valid driver’s license.
Schedule
Tuesday-Saturday. Schedule will be modified to accommodate events (0-2 events week, subject to seasonal business levels and most commonly Thursday- Saturday nights) and holiday relief (1-2 x year).

- $48 000/yr

- Vacation, statutory holidays and overtime will be paid in accordance with BC employment standards.
Annual inflationary wage review will apply to this position.
