Hiring High school Chemistry/Biology Teachers for September 2026
OCT-preferred (or equivalent teaching experience or qualification) teacher required for Ontario Ministry approved course(s) for the high school level 11-12. The ability to work with a diverse student body is essential. We are looking for an energetic and creative person who is comfortable thinking outside the box, at ease with teens and able to deliver the course material in a clear and engaging manner.
Qualifications:
- MUST ALREADY HAVE WORK PERMIT/PR/CANADA CITIZENSHIP!
- OCT, IB certification asset but not required
- Must be familiar with the Ministry of Education Curriculum and Growing Success
- Preferred experience in teaching Gr.9-12 courses.
- Knowledge and expertise in subject area and ability to provide effective experiential learning
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude, highly responsible; able to motivate and inspire students
Job Description:
- Teach Ontario Secondary School Chemistry curriculum at a high level of proficiency
- Assess and identify students’ individual learning needs
- Teach students using a variety of techniques: lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations
- Assign and correct homework, provide feedback to contribute to students’ progress.
- Evaluate and review the progress of students and discuss progress results with students and Parents
