Job Summary
The General Maintenance Worker role is to provide assistance with the installation or removal of heavier appliances, assistance for two-man jobs with Technicians, and to run general errands as is required. This position supports the smooth operations of daily functions from general maintenance to specifically assigned duties. This role also coordinates fleet maintenance, including tire rotations. The job functions are listed as follows but are not limited to specified functions. This is a full time position, Mon-Fri. day shifts.
Essential Job Functions:
Job Duties include the following but are not limited to:
Organize all areas of the shop. Recycle used items i.e.: scrap metal, toner cartridges, etc.
Minor Appliance Repairs or Parts Installations:
Make minor adjustments; replace cosmetic or general parts and clean windows or stand-up air cleaners and assist with shop repairs and organization as needed.
Deliveries & Pick Ups:
Deliver parts to technicians, pick up appliances from customers’ homes to bring to the shop for repairs, remove old appliances from customers’ homes & assist with installing new ones and assisting with loading and unloading of appliances being dropped off or picked up.
Vehicle Maintenance:
Wash service vehicles, change tires, pick up and drop off vehicles for repairs or oil changes, do general vehicle maintenance checks, provide general assistance during vehicle break down, notify Service Manager of any vehicle requiring repair or maintenance, keep service vehicle stocked. Clean and detail vehicles are required. Follow up to complete concerns noted from the daily vehicle inspections.
Techs Assistance:
Provide general assistance to Technicians as needed with the installation or removal of heavier appliances that require two people or other jobs which requires 2 people.
Customer Service:
Provide general customer service explaining repairs, giving quotes, complete paperwork with required details and collect payments from customers.
General Office Maintenance:
Empty garbage cans, recycling container and paper shredders daily, stock bathroom, put dishes away, when required. Tidy shop, sweep floor and put tools away. Organize all areas of the shop. Recycle used items i.e.: scrap metal, toner cartridges, etc.
Errands: Run miscellaneous errands, shop for supplies as directed

Pay: From $19.50 per hour
