Job Summary
Grayline Construction Services Ltd. is hiring Carpenters for infrastructure projects across Calgary and area, including wastewater treatment plants, bridges, and other civil construction sites. This role focuses on formwork carpentry, building and setting the forms that concrete gets poured into. This is fast paced, hands on work in dynamic, ever changing job site environments.
Duties
- Building, setting, and stripping concrete forms (formwork)
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling lumber and other formwork materials
- Installing shoring, bracing, and false work to support structures
- Working alongside concrete finishing crews during pours
- Installing anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures as needed
- Working at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
- Working in confined spaces
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a carpenter, ideally in infrastructure or heavy civil settings
- CSTS-09 (Construction Safety Training System)
- WHMIS
- Confined Space Entry certification
- Fall Protection certification
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform) certification
- Mask Fit Test certification
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfortable working around heavy machinery and in dusty environments
- Physically able to perform demanding work, including standing for extended periods, bending, kneeling, and lifting
- English required, Spanish an asset
- Valid driver's license
- Own reliable vehicle required to travel between job sites in and around Calgary
- Steel toed boots and PPE must be supplied by the worker
Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
