Job Overview:
Midland Food is a dynamic and growing seafood wholesale distributor serving the Greater Toronto Area. We specialize in delivering high-quality frozen seafood and food products to restaurants, retail markets and other food service businesses.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role is responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with restaurant clients and expanding market share for our products. The position focuses on sales to restaurants, ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets ad supporting overall company growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development
- Acquire new restaurant clients and grow existing accounts
- Achieve sales targets and expand product penetration
- Promote frozen seafood products
2. Client Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with restaurant owners and buyers
- Manage inquiries, pricing and customer orders
- Provide updates on market trends and pricing
3. Product Knowledge & Consultation
- Recommend products based on customer needs
- Maintain knowledge of seafood specifications and usage
4. Order Management & Coordination
- Coordinate orders with operations and logistics teams
- Ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
5. Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor pricing and market trends
- Provide feedback and identify growth opportunities
- Achieve sales targets and expand product penetration
- Promote frozen seafood products
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in seafood, food service or restaurant industry
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a competitive market
- Strong negotiation, closing and account development skills
- Knowledge of seafood supply chain including imports, pricing dynamics and local sourcing
- Familiar with cold chain logistics and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, results-driven and comfortable working with performance-based compensation
- Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English (spoken and written) is an asset
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle preferred

Pay: $45,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
