Overview
Sarata Manufacturing Inc. is a growing metal fabrication and machining company operating from a newly expanded 18,000 sq. ft. facility in Windsor, Ontario.
We manufacture small- to medium-volume production parts and high-precision components for industrial and OEM customers. Our in-house capabilities include plate and tube laser cutting, CNC forming, welding, CNC machining.
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Welder-Fabricator who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
Duties
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise fabrication
- Operate plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and power tools for shaping and forming metal components
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure accuracy in fabrication processes
- Rigging materials and components safely for assembly or installation
- Assist with machining tasks as needed, utilizing basic math skills for measurements and adjustments
- Fabricate ductwork, structural supports, or custom parts for construction or manufacturing projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and project completion
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG) with the ability to produce high-quality welds
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes and equipment operation
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience with plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment
- Knowledge of rigging techniques and crane operation is a plus
- Construction or manufacturing experience preferred, especially in ductwork or structural fabrication
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with good basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while maintaining productivity standards
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
