As a Dietary Aide, you will:
Plate and serve meals in accordance with residents’ individual diets and preferences
Maintain food at proper serving temperatures and observe strict time limits for meal service
Follow instructions to prepare basic food items such as breakfast foods, simple desserts, and garnishes
Clean serving areas, kitchen equipment, dishes, and utensils following infection control and safety standards
Properly store and label dietary supplies and leftover food items
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and in-service education as assigned
Adhere to departmental policies and procedures including quality assurance, safety, fire safety, and environmental protocols
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Food Handler’s Certificate (current and valid – preferred)
Experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or health care setting is preferred (0–1 year)
Ability to stand for long periods and perform moderate to heavy lifting
Ability to understand, read, and follow written and verbal English instructions
Strong commitment to safety and following established procedures
Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
