Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator for our Preschool room. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves planning engaging activities, supporting individual needs, and collaborating with families to ensure each child's success. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Facilitate engaging classroom activities that promote learning through play and exploration
- Support children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring inclusive practices are maintained
- Monitor and assess children's developmental progress, maintaining detailed records
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and needs
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Lead classroom management efforts to foster positive behavior and social skills
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum enhancements and school events
- Uphold all licensing requirements and safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting, including classroom experience
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development, and special education strategies
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities, including those with disabilities
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to guide and motivate young learners
- Effective writing skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Proficiency in computer operation, including the use of educational software and classroom management tools
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a team environment and communicate clearly with parents and staff
- Certification or degree in early childhood education
- CRP/First Aid
- up to date immunization records
- 2Step TB test
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: $21.00-$26.86 per hour
