Job Summary
We’re growing, and looking for an exceptional French instructor to grow with us. LearnWell Institute is launching a French Language Centre focused on helping adult learners succeed in their Canadian immigration journey. Our students are motivated, goal-oriented, and preparing for real outcomes—especially TEF/ TCF.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting student learning, and fostering a positive classroom environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic growth and development through effective teaching and tutoring strategies.
What you’ll do
- Deliver engaging, structured, and results-driven lessons
- Prepare students for TEF Canada / TCF across all skills
- Conduct mock exams and provide targeted feedback
- Support students in achieving their NCLC/CLB benchmarks
- Track student progress and adapt lessons accordingly
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation
- Utilize writing skills to develop instructional materials, assessments, and reports
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning abilities and backgrounds
What we’re looking for
- Native or near-native French proficiency
- Strong command of English
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching French to adults
- Experience with TEF/ TCF preparation
- Good understanding of NCLC / CLB frameworks
- Strong writing skills for creating instructional content and assessments
- Proven ability to engage students and facilitate learning effectively
- Experience in developing lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to clearly convey concepts
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies based on student needs and feedback
- Ability to deliver structured, high-impact lessons
- Fluency in Punjabi or another language considered a strong asset
