Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and personable Licensed Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling, exceptional customer service skills, a keen eye for detail and an artistic style to promote their services on social media. In this role, you will provide clients with professional haircuts, color treatments, styling, and consultation services while creating a welcoming environment. Your expertise will help clients look and feel their best, ensuring repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals. The position is commission based, starting 50% - 55% based on volume. Product sales commission and incentives.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments tailored to client preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service by listening carefully to client needs and offering professional recommendations.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools to ensure client safety.
- Upsell retail products such as shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and hair care products to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
- Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their desired look and educate them on hair care routines.
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and products through ongoing education and training.
- Utilizing social media regularly to promote salon services and build your client base.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist with a strong portfolio of previous work.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and proper sterilization procedures for tools and workstations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively discuss styles, treatments, and product recommendations with clients.
- Ability to upsell retail products naturally during consultations.
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not required.
