Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain and continuously improve the HACCP program.
- Ensure compliance with CFIA regulations, Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR), and customer requirements.
- Manage food safety documentation, records, and verification activities.
- Conduct internal audits and facility inspections.
- Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) investigations.
- Manage customer complaints and root cause investigations.
- Coordinate product traceability exercises and mock recalls.
Quality Assurance
- Oversee quality control activities throughout production.
- Verify product specifications, formulations, labels, and packaging compliance.
- Review and approve production records and quality documentation.
- Monitor sanitation effectiveness and environmental controls.
- Conduct trend analysis on quality and food safety data.
- Work closely with production to improve product consistency and reduce non-conformances.
SQF Certification Leadership
- Lead the company's SQF certification project from planning through certification.
- Develop and implement required SQF programs and procedures.
- Coordinate employee training related to SQF requirements.
- Conduct gap assessments and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as the SQF Practitioner and primary quality systems lead.
- Prepare for certification audits and manage auditor interactions.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Provide guidance and training to production employees on food safety and quality expectations.
- Foster a culture of food safety and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with management to improve operational efficiency while maintaining compliance.
- Support supplier approval and supplier quality programs.
- Participate in new product development and process improvement initiatives.
Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
