We are currently looking for someone with full availability, particularly evenings and weekends, to join our Front of House team as a Bartender/Server.
From our humble home-brewing beginnings in a garage on Gladstone Avenue in Victoria, BC, Gladstone Brewing Co. has grown into a gathering place for the Comox Valley, built around collaboration, creativity, craft beer, and community. Job Details:
- Serving wage at the current provincial standard, plus participation in the tip pool
- Full-time, permanent position
- Evening and weekend availability required
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Deliver warm, enthusiastic, and professional service to every guest
- Bartend and provide counter service with consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Gladstone Brewing Co.'s beers, seasonal features, cocktails, food menu, and beverage offerings
- Help guests discover beers, cocktails, and menu items through thoughtful recommendations
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate effectively with the kitchen and team
- Deliver food promptly while ensuring an exceptional guest experience
- Keep the bar, dining room, patio, and service areas clean, organized, and guest-ready
- Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and side duties thoroughly
- Monitor the guest experience and contribute to a fun, welcoming atmosphere
- Thrive during busy service periods with professionalism and a positive attitude
- Assist with restocking coolers, kegs, glassware, and supplies
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for guests and staff
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Serving It Right Certificate
- Minimum of 2–3 years of hospitality experience
- Bartending experience is a strong asset
- Craft beer knowledge is an asset, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are even more important
- Cocktail experience is an asset
- Cicerone certification is a strong asset
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and in a fast-paced environment
