Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified CET Surveyor to support field operations on heavy civil construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing survey support throughout the life cycle of the project, including layout, data collection, grade checking, and working closely with the survey lead, project management and field teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform construction layout and site control for various scopes
- Assist project managers with a range of survey-related deliverables and reporting
- Support survey coordinators in implementing and maintaining survey systems and procedures
- Collect and verify grades for quality control and progress tracking
- Calculate and report material quantities based on survey data
- Set and check grades during project progress to ensure conformance with design specifications
- Assist with setting up, calibrating, and monitoring GPS machine control systems
- Establish and maintain survey control points and perform site layout based on owner-provided drawings
- Complete and submit accurate daily survey reports and field documentation
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards
Qualifications
- CET designation or equivalent education and experience
- Experience in heavy civil construction projects
- Proficient in survey equipment and software
- Familiar with construction drawings and site layout practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor construction environment
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various job sites as required
