Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Agricultural Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of farm machinery and industrial equipment. This role involves working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other farm machinery, ensuring optimal operation and safety standards. The Agricultural Mechanic will also perform electrical and mechanical repairs, utilize hand and power tools, and interpret schematics to diagnose issues effectively. Duties
- Diagnose and repair farm machinery, heavy equipment, and industrial systems including excavators, forklifts and skidsteers
- Perform routine maintenance on agricultural and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics for repairs and assembly tasks
- Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshoot electrical systems within machinery
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely during maintenance or repair procedures
- Perform welding and fabrication work as needed for equipment repair or modification
- Assist in the installation, assembly, and testing of new machinery or components
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Agricultural Mechanic or in a similar role working on farm machinery or industrial equipment
- Dealership experience is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including HVAC, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
- Hands-on experience with excavators, cranes, forklifts, Caterpillar machinery, and other heavy equipment
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and reading schematics for diagnostics
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment as required
- Knowledge of automotive repair practices applicable to farm vehicles and machinery
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment operation or electrical work are a plus
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
