Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team, responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various joinery techniques and demonstrate proficiency in working with different construction materials. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Construct and install frameworks, doors, windows, and cabinets using various joinery techniques.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment.
- Fabricate custom pieces according to project specifications.
- Conduct construction estimating to assess material needs and project costs.
- Apply caulking to seal joints and gaps in various installations.
- Restore existing structures by repairing or replacing damaged components.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion within deadlines.
Skills
- Proficiency in heavy lifting techniques and physical stamina for demanding tasks.
- Experience in construction painting for finishing touches on projects.
- Ability to fabricate custom woodwork and fixtures tailored to client needs.
- Skillful cabinet installation ensuring functionality and aesthetics.
- Proficient in caulking methods for sealing joints effectively.
- 5 Years experience in use of wood working equipment such as; jointers, shapers, bandsaws, hand held routers
