Tree Crew Member – Outdoor Work (Students Welcome) $20/hr+ | Class 5 Required
EcoTreeCo – The Ecological Tree Company is hiring tree crew members for the 2026 season.
We work across southern Manitoba providing:
- Tree planting• Tree watering• Tree pruning• Tree removals• Arborist services
We are looking for reliable people who enjoy working outdoors and physical work and who want to be part of a growing company.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in:
- Landscaping• Farming• Construction• Tree work• Outdoor labour
Training is provided.
Important:
This is physical outdoor work involving digging, lifting, moving trees and materials, and assisting with arborist operations. Applicants should be comfortable with physical work and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Job Details
- Contract length: Position available until December 2026 with potential for long-term employment for the right candidate• Start date: Immediate / Spring 2026• Pay: Starting at $20/hour• Higher pay available for:
- Class 3 driver’s licence
- ISA Arborist certification
- Relevant experience
- Overtime paid after 8 hours per day• Paid lunch breaks• Comprehensive safety program and training provided• Flexible work schedules available to support work / life balance• Full-time hours available (weather dependent)• Work area: Various sites across southern Manitoba• Carpool to job sites in Winnipeg and Selkirk, Manitoba
Duties
- Digging tree planting holes• Planting boulevard and landscape trees• Installing stakes and ties• Assisting with tree pruning operations• Assisting with tree removals and cleanup• Loading and unloading trees, brush, and materials• Operating hand tools and equipment• General site work and cleanup
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence required• Physically fit (able to lift 40+ lbs)• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions• Reliable and punctual• Ability to work well with a crew• Safety-minded attitude
