We're hiring an Account Director—a senior role that blends client leadership, marketing strategy, and project management into one job. At a bigger agency this would be split across an account exec, a strategist, and a project manager, but at Twin Creek Media you'll own the whole relationship: figuring out what clients need, shaping the strategy to get them there, and keeping clients and team moving in the same direction. This is a Director-level position with real ownership over budgets and outcomes, perfect for someone who thrives on variety, sharp communication, and being the person everyone can count on.
This is a senior position. $80,000 to $120,000 salary + perks. The role requires you to be local, on-site, working in office/home hybrid. Fully remote applications will not be considered.
Who we are
Twin Creek Media is a full-service marketing agency in Kelowna, British Columbia. Since 2004, we've worked with hundreds of companies across Canada, delivering digital and traditional campaigns that drive real growth. We function as our clients' marketing department: no juggling contractors, no guesswork on ROI. Our proven 3 Paddle System and our team’s unique values make us a true long-term partner, not just another marketing company.
What we need
We need an Account Director first and foremost. Everyone at Twin Creek wears a couple of hats, so ideally, you have another superpower that lends itself in a production role of some type, aka a billable skill in a marketing agency environment.
This position is in-house in Kelowna, BC & full-time. The salary for this position is a range between $80,000 and $120,000, depending on experience and skills. We also offer a flexible work schedule and environment, along with a custom compensation package, so you can prioritize cash, health benefits, or vacation time.
Who you are
You are someone who wants to get the job done. You like organization and structure, but also need some space to do it your way. You are eager to help clients and can wear different hats to support the team.
You have spent 5+ years in a marketing department somewhere before or have previous agency experience. You bring your own drive and want to make things happen for others.
General “Good Fit” Checklist:
- Be able to both work in a team and on your own
- Take initiative, be a self-starter, own your work
- Be fearless, share your ideas, and make things better
- Ability to problem-solve under pressure
- Familiar with using a Mac computer
- Familiar with Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides)
- Excellent time management
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Honesty and integrity — own up to your mistakes quickly and learn from them
- You're comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini as a coworker, but you know the difference between a good AI output and one that needs a human's judgment before it goes anywhere near a client. You have at least heard of agentic AI workflows and are prepared to learn and leverage technology beyond the basics. Simultaneously, you recognize that the future will need more of your humanity, not less.
Education:
- College or University Degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Design, Management, Liberal Arts, etc.
- If you don't have the piece of paper, do you have evidence that you have the equivalent knowledge and experience? Show us.
What you'll be doing
In a nutshell, you'll figure out what clients need, get it done, and keep everyone (clients and team) moving in the same direction.
Leadership & Strategy
- Gathering stats, industry info, trends – you're no stranger to hunting and gathering online, and you know how to use AI research tools to get there faster without losing accuracy.
- Marketing strategy, including competitive analysis, campaign planning & annual budget allocations—your analytical brain loves running reports, creating summaries and comparisons.
- Analysis – you can read a marketing report (the numbers and what’s between them) and explain it clearly to everyone else. If you don't know the answer, you find it fast.
Note: Your access and collaboration with our Data Analyst, Technical Director, Director of Growth, and CEO will support this high-level work. You’re not on your own, but you are expected to do your own research, understand the data shared with you, and make good judgment calls.
Project Management
- Communication with clients! Email, phone, video calls, in-person, text message, smoke signals or carrier pigeon. Whatever it takes.
- Communication with team members! Clear, timely, positive. In-person, email, Asana & Slack are your main channels.
- Developing and managing budgets for client projects and campaigns… $100,000s across multiple projects—with great power comes great responsibility.
- Project folders, timelines, tasks, and people management – assigning work, following up, and keeping the team accountable. We use Asana for project management.
Billable Skill(s)
What’s your other superpower? Your billable skill(s) varies depending on what you bring to the team and what we need, but some of your time is spent on doing tasks for others, such as design, writing, research, and process improvement, AI stuff, internal operational work, etc.
