Roommate & Peer Mentor (St. Albert)
We are looking for an independent adult to share a condo with our 34-year-old son. He works three days a week, plays hockey, and is a friendly guy who enjoys being around people and building friendships.
Our son has a developmental disability and enjoys a full, active, and meaningful life with the support of a live-in roommate and peer mentor. He has successfully shared his home with a roommate for the past several years, and together they have built a comfortable daily routine while continuing to grow his confidence and everyday independence. He continues to gain new experiences and strengthen his community connections.
We are looking for a peer who values inclusion, friendship, personal growth, and community connection. This is a collaborative living arrangement—not a caregiving position. The role is centered on partnership, patience, encouragement, shared experiences, and supporting him as he continues to build new skills, confidence, and meaningful relationships.
Live-in position beginning October 1, 2026. You will have a private bedroom, private bathroom, and underground parking in a fully furnished condo in St. Albert.
Compensation is $3,100/month. Rent arrangements will be discussed with the successful candidate to create a fair and mutually beneficial living arrangement.
A valid Class 5 driver’s licence, reliable, insured vehicle, Vulnerable Sector Check, and a patient, dependable, and positive attitude are required.
