Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled CFAA Certified Fire Alarm Technician / Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems and electrical components across various commercial and industrial sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical experience, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret technical schematics and blueprints. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex systems in a dynamic environment, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, and service fire alarm systems in accordance with industry codes and standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installations and repairs
- Troubleshoot electrical issues related to fire alarm systems using hand tools and power tools
- Perform maintenance on sensors, control panels, wiring, and other low-voltage systems
- Conduct system inspections to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate fire alarm systems seamlessly
- Document all work performed accurately in service reports and system records
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment
Qualifications
- CFAA Certification as a Fire Alarm Technician / Electrician is required
- Proven experience with electrical systems, construction projects, and low-voltage wiring
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Mechanical knowledge related to fire alarm components and sensors
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment used in electrical installations
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and follow detailed instructions precisely
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between job sites
