Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport asphalt, aggregates, gravel, dirt, and other materials to and from construction sites and project locations. Previous experience hauling asphalt is required.
This role is essential to maintaining efficient project operations and ensuring the safe, timely delivery of materials.
Requirements
- Valid Class 3 or Class 1 Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement
- Minimum 1 year of dump truck driving experience
- Experience hauling asphalt is required
- Clean driver's abstract and strong safety record
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime during peak construction season
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport asphalt, aggregates, and construction materials.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload materials while adhering to weight restrictions and safety procedures.
- Complete delivery documentation, daily logs, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and crew members.
- Follow all company policies, traffic regulations, and workplace safety standards.
- Report vehicle maintenance issues and assist with basic troubleshooting when required.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned equipment.
Experience
- Proven experience operating dump trucks in construction, paving, or industrial environments.
- Asphalt hauling experience is mandatory.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment and construction site operations is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, reliability, and punctuality.
