We specialize in industrial, institutional and commercial roofing repairs, maintenance, and service work. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Service Foreman to lead our service crews and help maintain our reputation for excellence.
Position Summary
The Service Foreman is responsible for overseeing roofing service and repair projects, managing a small crew, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, roofing knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot roofing issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of service roofing crew
- Inspect roofs and diagnose repair or maintenance needs
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
- Communicate with customers regarding job progress and service expectations
- Train and mentor crew members on proper roofing techniques and safety procedures
- Complete daily reports, job documentation, and material tracking
- Coordinate with office staff regarding scheduling and project updates
- Ensure crews maintain clean and organized job sites
- Monitor quality control and perform final inspections
- Enforce company safety policies and OHSA/workplace safety standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of ICI roofing experience, preferably in service/repair work
- Previous leadership or foreman experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems including but not limited to modified bitumen, TPO, EPDM, BUR, Inverted systems and repairs
- Ability to identify leaks and recommend effective solutions
- Valid driver’s licence with clean driving record
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor as needed
- Strong knowledge of Ontario safety regulations
- Safety certifications are considered an asset
- Must be a member of Local 269 Union or willing to join
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel when required
