As a Budtender / Cannabis Retail Associate, you will be the face of Cannazonia. You’ll help customers navigate products, provide an elevated shopping experience, maintain store operations, and ensure all provincial cannabis regulations are followed at all times.
We are seeking individuals with strong communication skills, positive energy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Educate customers on products, categories, and consumption methods within legal guidelines
- Recommend products based on customer preferences and needs
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems
- Verify valid government-issued identification and ensure compliance with all regulations
- Maintain strong product knowledge including new releases and trending products
- Assist with merchandising, restocking, and inventory management
- Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing
- Support daily opening and closing procedures
- Deliver a premium customer experience that reflects the Cannazonia brand
Requirements
- Must be 19 years of age or older
- Valid Smart Choices Cannabis Retail Certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
- Previous retail, hospitality, customer service, or cannabis retail experience is considered an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of cannabis products, accessories, and industry trends is preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to lift and move product inventory when needed
- Criminal background check may be required as per provincial regulations
