The Opportunity
We’re looking for a dynamic Production Scheduler to play a key role in driving our operations forward. Based on-site in Strathroy, ON and reporting to the General Manager, you’ll take ownership of planning and coordinating fabrication and machining schedules—ensuring projects move efficiently and are delivered on time, every time.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize end-to-end production schedules for fabrication, machining, and coating operations
- Prioritize and sequence jobs based on capacity, material availability, and customer requirements to meet delivery commitments
- Monitor production progress daily, adjusting schedules to address delays, risks, and changing priorities
- Ensure on-time delivery, tracking performance against project scope, timelines, and budget
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date data within ERP/MRP systems, including job tracking and schedule integrity
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, procurement, quality, sales, and purchasing teams to align on constraints and requirements
- Coordinate material availability with procurement and support effective resource planning across personnel and equipment
- Analyze capacity, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve workflow and efficiency
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status, lead times, changes, and any impacts to delivery schedules
- Address customer inquiries related to order specifications, timelines, and production updates in a professional and timely manner
- Interpret technical documentation, specifications, and drawings to define job scope and scheduling requirements
- Manage schedule or scope changes using structured processes and ensure alignment across stakeholders and customers
- Track and report on key performance metrics related to scheduling and production performance
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate risks impacting production timelines
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling processes, workflow efficiency, safety, and cost performance
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in production planning and scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas), ERP/MRP systems, and estimating software
- Strong critical thinking and attention to detail; must be able to problem solve and think independently.
- Working knowledge of CNC machining, manual mills, and boring mills, with the ability to support scheduling decisions
- Proficient in reading and understanding technical documentation, industrial blueprints and plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer and team interactions.
- Strong organizational skills, with an ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
