Builder – West Coast Crate Company
West Coast Crate Company is a locally owned, family-run business that manufactures high-quality wooden shipping crates for export. We serve clients from a wide range of industries, with our crates shipped all over the world. Every project presents a new challenge and an opportunity to create something unique.
We’re looking for a Builder to join our team — someone with a positive attitude who enjoys working with their hands, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in their work. You should be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and enjoy problem-solving in a hands-on environment.
Responsibilities
- Build custom crates according to specifications and direction from management
- Perform basic equipment maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Prepare products for shipping
- Assist with incoming and outgoing shipments
- Assist with on-site crating projects
Qualifications
- Able to safely and effectively use hand and power tools (table saw experience considered an asset)
- Able to follow a cut-list and read basic design drawings
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Not required but considered an asset:
- Forklift ticket
- Basic first aid
Details
- Full-time position
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Occasional overtime may be available
