Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our roofing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing roofing systems on residential buildings. Responsibilities
- Install new roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques
- Repair and replace damaged or aging roofs to ensure durability and safety
- Measure and cut roofing materials accurately according to project specifications
- Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, and caulking guns to complete tasks efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and insulation integrity
- Assist with other construction tasks as needed, including carpentry work and general duties
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on site
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools commonly used in roofing and construction projects
- Construction experience with a focus on roofing preferred
- Strong carpentry skills for framing, cutting, and fitting materials
- Experience with caulking for sealing joints and seams effectively
- Capable of heavy lifting of materials weighing up to 50 pounds or more
- Handyman experience demonstrating versatility across various repair tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions while maintaining productivity
