Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of sandwiches according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, to process customer transactions efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and give correct change with attention to detail
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, food handling areas, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to fulfill orders promptly while ensuring quality standards are met
- Support food safety protocols by following proper sanitation procedures and handling food responsibly
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service is highly preferred; restaurant experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for quick and accurate transactions
- Strong cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for accurate change and totals
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
