Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This role involves monitoring surveillance systems, conducting patrols, and implementing loss prevention measures to maintain a secure environment. Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance footage using CCTV systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or safety hazards
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, following established protocols
- Enforce property rules and policies to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying and addressing suspicious behaviors or activities
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff with inquiries related to security procedures
Skills
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is highly desirable
- Strong surveillance skills with proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other monitoring equipment
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and effective during stressful situations or emergencies
- Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
- Physical stamina for patrolling large areas and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining vigilance
Pay: From $18.25 per hour
