The Department of Housing, Addictions and Homelessness is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Clerk 3 position in Churchill.
Duties:
Reporting to a Regional Administrative Officer, the Clerk is responsible for all assigned administrative services to employees, tenants and applicants. The incumbent acts as the front-line point of contact for all Housing offices and assesses and responds to general inquiries, providing information as required while ensuring that Manitoba Housing’s policies, procedures and guidelines are being followed.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Experience providing clerical and administrative support in an office environment including but not limited to providing reception, creating electronic documents, coding invoices, and filing.
- Experience checking and processing invoices for payments.
- Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate effective working relationships with colleagues, other departments and a variety of stakeholders.
- Effective written communication skills with experience drafting and editing correspondence or other communications.
- Effective verbal communication skills to clearly and professionally communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and effectively manage tight deadlines.
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) or similar software applications.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
